The Assistant Manager will support and collaborate with the Unit Director (UD) and serve as the first line of communication between staff and management.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE JOB FUNCTIONS

Participates in Performance Improvement activities of the department as appropriate.
Management of assigned projects daily including initiation, follow-through and completion of the project
Demonstrates use of evidence applied to clinical practice to achieve improved outcomes.
Serves as an active member of the leadership team, working with the UD to ensure the clinical and budgetary efficiency of the department.
Provides UD with information for development of annual budget. Completed through assessing needs for personnel, supplies, equipment, and physical facilities for budget planning.
Provides clinical coverage in the absence of the Unit Director
Provides direct patient care when needed
Evaluates and ensures clinical staffing coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
Supervises, evaluates, guides and counsels’ staff in their work performance.
Participates in action planning for staff development.
Participates in clinical conferences, workshops, seminars, and related forums.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education/Experience
Graduate of state board approved School of Nursing.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio
Educational and experiential qualifications with consideration of the following:
Education- BSN required
2 years of experience preferred
