What you will do- Acts as a receptionist for the unit including greeting individuals and managing phone calls and visitors.
- Builds customer relations through positive interaction with patients and other hospital departments.
- Consistently and accurately registers patients in Epic with all required information and keeps up with new registration requirements.
- Responsible for obtaining all insurance and/or employer authorization as applicable.
- Responsible for explaining benefits and co-payments to patients as applicable.
- Accurately enters and/or reconciles daily charges.
- Responsible for tracking supplies and matching PO with supplies received.
- Responsible for subpoena and medical record requests, locating medical reports in various systems.
- Responsible for the completion of the study module monthly.
- Attends department and hospital wide meetings and serves on committees as assigned.
- Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions
Education Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED Required
Experience Qualifications- 1+ year to 2 years as a general office assistant Required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft product software.
- Ability to multi task efficiently.
- Knowledge of Nursing, Hospital-wide, and personnel policies and procedures.
Licenses and Certifications- Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
