Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: 100% onsite in New Orleans, LA
Duration: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Rate: $75,000 - $90,000 Annually Based on Experience

Summary
As a Test Engineer, you'll hold a pivotal position in our development process, contributing significantly to our team dynamics. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around meticulously testing developers' code within a collaborative environment and swiftly addressing any initial troubleshooting needs. Through your comprehensive reports, developers will gain invaluable insights into test results, troubleshooting pathways, and actionable recommendations for issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for testing efforts in support of development through FAT
- Helps develop and run unit tests as directed by project lead.
- Attempts to identify and resolve initial test failures.
- Writes and delivers reports for developers detailing test findings, troubleshooting steps, issue resolutions and recommendations.
- Reports to Automation Manager through separate line from development team, independent of developers
- Uses testing experiences to improve documentation and processes for the project and the department at large.
- Supports commissioning efforts through delivery for systems tested.
Travel – up to 25%, periodic in nature
Competencies
- Troubleshooting, both hands-on and computer based.
- Technical communication and technical writing
- Conflict Resolution and interpersonal relationship building
- Customer relations
- PLC/HMI or other programming experience preferred.

Education and/or Experience
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot unfamiliar systems.
- Relevant Experience or B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
