Job Abstract

This position is responsible for performing all facials and spa body treatments in the manner trained by The Hotel Hershey.

This position is for an apprentice nail technician in the Spa at the Hotel Hershey.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Assisting Nail Technicians in daily tasks and activities

• Keeping work areas stocked with sufficient supplies and products for a full day of operation

• Learning techniques and protocols for spa nail services as trained by the Spa Services Manager

• Providing nail services to spa staff in order to perfect techniques and skills during the apprentice period

• Cleaning equipment and common areas used after performing services

• Maintaining neatness of service waiting areas

• Folding towels and linens for use in the service areas

• Attending all training sessions to learn new techniques to be used in the performance of their job

• Performing any tasks assigned by supervisor or manager

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older

• Current Pennsylvania Cosmetologist and/or Manicurist license in progress or obtained.

• Attendance at a recognized Cosmetology and/or Manicuring school with graduation expected within 1 month of hire or licensed nail technician that has not worked in an established salon as a nail technician.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Professional salon experience is not required.

• Must have professional image and the ability to communicate well with others

Job Demands:

• Shifts vary according to business needs, and are typically 8 hour shifts

• Job may require bending, stooping and lifting up to 20 lbs.
