Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Special Education, Sports Management, or a related field.
Experience in both Therapeutic Recreation and planning/facilitating general recreational programs.

Ability to work with diverse populations and adapt programs to different needs.
Creativity and innovation in designing engaging recreational and therapeutic activities.
Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
Team-oriented with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Possession of a valid NYS Driver's License without any restrictions.
Successful completion of required clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver’s license, and fingerprinting as mandated by the program.
Compliance with health regulations, including physical.
Successful completion of Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training, including a written test and demonstration of competency in physical restraints. Ongoing commitment to completing required SCM refreshers for continued employment.
