As the Deputy, reporting directly to the CRO, you will play an integral role in ensuring the successful execution of Carta's GTM strategy. You will work closely with the CRO and cross-functional teams to identify and find solutions to sales obstacles, drive operational efficiency, foster effective communication, and provide strategic support. Your expertise will contribute to the growth and success of Carta's GTM function.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key resource to the CRO to help define and drive key sales and operational initiatives by identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and optimizing processes.
- Conduct research, prepare reports, and deliver presentations to support data-driven decision-making within the GTM function.
- Act as a liaison between the CRO and stakeholders to facilitate clear and timely communication.
- Prepare and coordinate materials for executive meetings, leadership offsites, and strategic engagements.
- Lead special projects and initiatives assigned by the CRO by overseeing project plans, resource coordination, and progress tracking.
- Work closely with sales leadership to optimize best practices, standardized reporting/tracking of outreach, and provide additional support to front line managers.

Provide Extra Support to Largest Deals:
As Carta moves up market and works to close larger deals there is additional focus required to provide the best sales experience. This individual will work directly with account executives to establish detailed outreach and deal cycle plans while also consolidating the reporting and providing updates to the executive team. Their goal is to drive operational efficiencies and streamline manual processes so that the reps can focus on closing deals.
Driving Operational Excellence:
The Deputy will play a vital role in driving operational excellence within the GTM function. By analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices the Deputy will optimize our operations, enhance productivity, and ensure seamless execution of GTM initiatives. This focus on operational excellence will enable sales to scale efficiently and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
Facilitating Communication and Collaboration:
The Deputy will act as a liaison between the CRO and various stakeholders, both internal and external, fostering transparent and timely communication. By facilitating cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams, the Deputy will ensure alignment and coherence in executing our GTM strategy.
Enabling Informed Decision-Making:
The Deputy will support the CRO by conducting research, preparing reports, and delivering presentations that provide valuable insights into market trends, competitive landscape, and industry dynamics. By analyzing this information, the Deputy will help the CRO and the GTM function make informed decisions, optimize resource allocation, and identify growth opportunities.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong ability to understand complex go-to-market dynamics and models.
- Very strong financial modeling and excel skills. Experience in budget development and goal setting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools, collaboration software, and Google Suite.
Salary
Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:
$184,000 - $230,000 in SF
Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
