As Product Marketing Director - Portfolio [Internally titled Product Marketing Director], you are the subject matter expert on the market, the buyer journey, the challenges our customers and their key personas face. You will define our viewpoint on the market and our go-to-market strategy. This is a strategic product marketing role, where you will define our differentiated messaging to position Billtrust as the market leader.

What You'll Do:
- Product Marketing Leadership – Manage the Billtrust portfolio with a P&L ownership mentality. Proactively drive product revenue growth and lead the charge in generating demand for your product, the Billtrust portfolio.
- Lead GTM strategy – drive the Billtrust portfolio’s market success, be a Subject Matter Expert on your market segments and align with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, etc.
- Competitive Intelligence – develop an in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape and market dynamics, laying the foundation for a winning competitive positioning strategy.
- Messaging and Positioning – own and drive our portfolio’s differentiation, create compelling customer value with messaging that is credible and resonates with target audiences fostering their engagement.
- Thought Leadership – as a storyteller, convey value propositions and business benefits in language that speaks to customers across the spectrum, from individual contributors to C-level executives. Achieve this through diverse mediums such as website content, blogs, videos, ebooks, and presentations.
- Evangelism – serve as the spokesperson for your offerings and evangelize internally, with customers, partners, and at conferences and user groups.
- Customer Advocate – be the Voice of the Customer, immerse yourself in understanding customer needs, pain points, and opportunities, and reflect those in internal and external communication.
- Sales Enablement – create and maintain high-value sales tools (i.e. customer facing presentations, product solution guides, FAQs, etc.) that communicate the vision and value of Billtrust products and help win business.
- Success Metrics Reporting – Define, track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that show the impact of Product Marketing on achieving business goals.
What You'll Bring:
- 10+ years’ of relevant work experience in B2B SaaS products required; previous work experience in Product Marketing or Product Management role required.
- Experience in the Accounts Receivable Invoice to Cash market preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required, relevant MBA or master’s degree strongly preferred or comparable relevant experience.
- Strong leader and player with proven ability to lead cross-organizational alignment and projects to achieve business objectives.
- Strategic mindset with a pragmatic attitude-ability to translate ideas into action, and manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently, while demonstrating creativity.
- Strong business acumen, technical competency, intellectual curiosity, and ability to understand data and apply it to identify opportunities and solve problems.
- Ability to bring new ideas to the table with a fresh perspective on portfolio marketing.
- Strong presentation skills
- Exceptional standards for quality in writing, speaking, and independent thought.
The expected base salary range for this position is $175,000.00 - $192,000 annually.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
