Competitive candidates will have relevant experience in personal injury defense or insurance defense with knowledge regarding litigation procedures, local court rules, discovery, trial preparation, law and motion. The position requires a paralegal certificate or paralegal degree or BA; excellent communication, technology, writing, and analytical skills; experience working in a paperless environment; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; ability to communicate with clients in a knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate manner. The qualified candidate must be reliable, dedicated and team-oriented with professional appearance and demeanor. You will be working in a hybrid environment, with some required presence in the office and some remote. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs. Responsibilities to include: Assists attorneys in discovery and pre-trial matters under attorney supervision Assists attorneys in handling assigned case files and delivering other legal services under attorney supervision Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications 1+ years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury is preferred Familiarity with Court Rules and Procedures Strong computer skills and experience working in an electronic/digital environment in particular Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Basic legal writing and research skills and knowledge of proper formats and citations Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written Degree or certificate REQUIRED Candidates must meet the California Business & Professions Code §6450 for paralegals requirements.
