Job Abstract

Position Summary:

This is a 12 month part time position. Candidates should possess a strong commitment to the recruitment and development of student athletes within the guidelines of the NCAA, GMAC, and University regulations and policies. They should demonstrate proven leadership ability along with strong communication skills.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting head coach in day to day operations of the softball program
• Recruiting (including travel throughout the year and summer)
• Schedule campus visits for prospective student athletes
• Academic monitoring (including weekly study table requirements)
• Skill development of student athletes
• Assist the head coach with the planning and implementation of daily practice plans
• On field coaching responsibilities as assigned by the head coach
• Assist the head coach with the organization of fundraising activities
• Assist the head coach in the organization and running of camps
• Scouting of opponents
• Travel arrangements
• Pre-game meal planning
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Required (Master's Degree preferred)
• 2 years coaching experience preferred
