As an Aerospace facility, Ravenna site produces radomes (nose of the plane) and focuses on balancing structural requirements of aircraft with providing optimal range for radar systems to improve safety.
As a Sheet Metal Production Operator, your primary function will be to fabricate, assemble and install radome or composite part’s structural hardware using standardized procedures, work instructions, and controlled documents.
The position is for 3rd shift (SUNDAY-THURSDAY, 11:00PM-7:00AM)
The shift differential for third shift is an additional $.40 per hour in addition to base pay.
Quarterly bonus incentive and overtime available for this position.
Major duties/responsibilities:
Working from customer drawings/specifications, and Saint-Gobain blueprints to fabricate, assemble, and install metal structural hardware.
Work with engineers and others as required.
Identify and resolve sheet metal process problems during production of parts.
Initiate, solicit and implement cost reduction ideas.
Initiate problem resolution.
Maintain compliance with all ISO procedural requirements.
Maintain compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations.
Train others on methods and procedures.
Maintain and promote good housekeeping practices.
Required Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent is required
Ability to pass a quantitative assessment (cognitive ability)
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
