Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator II to join our team in the DMV area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

• Supports the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
• Support upgrades to computer components and software, management of virtual servers, and integration of automation processes
• Support troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
• Support documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure
• Support regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Support desktop and helpdesk efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Supports Kubernetes system administration in a DevOps CI/CD environment
• Support configuring Kubernetes auto-provisioning and auto-scaling of CI/CD job/build agents/runners/nodes and assist in designing and implementing clusters, cluster segmentation, and internal/external networking for the four CI/CD deployment environments: development, test, staging, and production
• Support capacity, storage planning, and database performance, and monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an IT, Business, Engineering, Math, Science, or related field
• Two or more (2+) years of related experience
• Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order:
  • CCNA-Security
  • CySA+
  • GICSP
  • GSEC
  • Security+ CE
  • CND
  • SSCP
• If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required
• If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant industry standard certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, AWS, or VMWare
• Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as Ansible, Salt or Puppet

Clearance Requirements: 

• This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 
• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
