Job Overview
Metabolite annotation is a significant challenge in metabolomics. New computational methods to address this challenge are highly desired. The Ressom Lab has generated multi-omics data including metabolomics and lipidomics data using LC-MS and GC-MS platforms.
The Research Assistant helps to advance the identification of biomarkers for early detection of cancer, and contributes expertise in metabolite annotation and integrative analysis of multi-omics data within the Ressom Lab and across the department.
Duties include performance of statistical analysis of multi-omics data and annotation of metabolites.
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation
The Research Associate reports to the Principal Investigator, Habtom W. Ressom, Ph.D., Professor of Oncology.

Requirements and Qualifications
M.S. in biostatistics, bioinformatics, statistics, mathematics, or data science
Preferred qualification
Experience in omics data analysis and machine learning
