About the Role:
In this opportunity as Lead Software Engineer, you will:
- Work on multiple projects developing web-based applications using Java and open source technologies (Spring, Hibernate, Struts, SQL, Web Services, Tomcat, Maven, etc.).
- Lead small teams of developers through the software development lifecycle
- Work closely with the project management team to assist in the collection of customer requirements and the creation of functional specifications.
- Create solutions across all layers of a web application from the UI to the database.
- Develop and maintain quality code, create unit tests, and fix bugs.
- Review code developed by team members.
- Keep up to date with and provide recommendations for new technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement in our software development process within an agile team.
- Help troubleshoot production issues and support maintenance of client's systems.
About You:
You're a fit for the role of Lead Software Engineer if your background includes:
- Ability to work regular schedule of Pacific Standard Time business hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of object-oriented development experience, Java preferred.
- 3+ years of web development experience including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MVC.
- 3+ years of SQL development experience.
- Proven ability to adapt well in a fast paced environment.
- Experience assisting in the translating of business requirements to technical requirements.

The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $132,400 - $246,000. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $120,400 - $223,600. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
