Job Abstract

Under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor provides daily transportation to seniors within the community based upon scheduled activities.

Research each destination using Google Maps or another electronic mapping application to plan daily routes

Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections including refueling the bus before leaving

Documents each trip by tracking travel data and maintenance information for reporting

Assists passengers on and off the bus at all stops

Responsible for the location of every passenger transported each day if no other staff member is on the bus

Waits for passengers until the activity is complete and ensures each passenger who left is present for the return trip

Uses the radio or mobile phone to communication status of each daily trip and informs staff of irregularities or issues if needed

Uses a computer or pad to record daily activities and to communicate schedule changes to staff and/or management

Must have a high school diploma or GED

Must have a valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement with no more than 6 points

Must possess a current certification for CPR/AED and First Aide or be able to obtain one within 3 months of the hire date

Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including some evening and weekends
