Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to food safety & quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. The mechanic position is responsible for ensuring the equipment productivity and efficiency through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and monitoring. #Firstinpeople The Tetra Pak Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Tetra Pak packaging equipment. This role ensures the efficient operation of machinery to meet production goals and maintain product quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Setup: Install and configure Tetra Pak machines and systems according to manufacturer specifications and company requirements. Perform initial machine testing and validation to ensure proper setup and functionality. Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance on Tetra Pak equipment to minimize downtime and extend machine lifespan. Inspect, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in a timely manner. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation. Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge. Perform necessary repairs and replacements of defective components to restore machine functionality. Collaborate with other technicians and production staff to resolve complex technical issues. Quality Control: Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency. Training and Support: Train production staff on the safe and efficient operation of Tetra Pak equipment. Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other departments as needed. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance. Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and practices. Qualifications EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Examples of licenses, certificates, and registrations required: Power Industrial Truck Operator’s License Black Seal License is a plus.
