Cleveland Clinic is looking to add new Caregiver to their dedicated team. As a part of Cleveland Clinic's family, you will independently perform diagnosis, repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance on ultrasound equipment, and portable/fixed x-ray rooms, and mammography equipment. Individually support assigned systems with very minimal vendor support.

Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes system failures of medical imaging systems and performs repairs in accordance to manufacturer protocol within time standards set by service level agreements.
- Performs preventive maintenance on complex medical systems and develops preventive maintenance procedures based on site specific requirements incorporating usage and other performance metrics.
- Performs incoming inspections of new equipment and completes documentation for CMMS database.
- Acts an enterprise resource providing technical expertise on the assigned imaging equipment.
- Provides on the job cross training to fellow technicians for devices they are trained on.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Technology.
Certifications:
- Successful completion of a radiological service training program from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Radiological Service Institute Training (RSTI) equivalent certification preferred.
Competencies (Complexity of Work):
- Position will provide daily support for complex medical systems typically identified on ultrasound equipment, and portable/fixed x-ray rooms, and mammography equipment. .
- Job functions entail a degree of technical expertise on the assigned equipment and the ability to function independently in both a technical and administrative capacity.
- Systems supported by this position are considered mission critical with no or minimal back-up capacity.
- System downtime has an immediate impact on patient care and caregiver satisfaction.
- Knowledge of complex electronic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems related to the assigned complex medical system, In-depth knowledge of engineering theory and principles related to the assigned complex medical system.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of two years of CCF Clinical Engineering Tech II experience or four years outside experience maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment.
- A minimum of 2 years of specialty work experience servicing of general radiology equipment, X-ray generating equipment, interventional radiology, ultrasound equipment, portable/fixed x-ray rooms, mammography equipment or other similar complex medical systems may offset the outside experience required.
- Equivalent specialized or military training may substitute for the degree.
- Offset: High School diploma/GED and four years of CCF Clinical Engineering Tech experience or six years outside experience maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment or equipment in a mechanical or electrical technician field and successful completion of a radiological service training program from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Radiological Service Institute Training (RSTI) equivalent certification
- Offset: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering or IT technical field may substitute for the required experience.
