Primary Responsibility / Summary
The e-Commerce Production Supervisor is responsible for meeting or exceeding production and revenue goals consistently to ensure the efficient operation of the Goodwill’s E-Commerce operation. The Supervisor leads production staff to achieve established goals for sales, production, customer service, payroll, product storage, quality control, safety and expense control.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyzes E-Commerce sales trends and production data.
- Develops effective product category strategies for the online marketplace.
- Masters product specialist operations and production flow.
- Partners with HR and E-Commerce Manager to develop team building and performance improvement plans.
- Continually researches, develops and implements revenue-generating and cost-cutting opportunities for assigned areas of operation within the E-Commerce Department.
- Establishes quality control guidelines for employees to follow.
- Acts as top-tier customer support contact to handle all customer service requirements, standards, and fix elevated customer service issues.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Prepares, maintains and submits required financial reporting to E-Commerce Manager.
- This position requires some travel (25% to 50%) a valid CA driver's license and state-required auto insurance are required. Driving records must be acceptable by the company’s insurance vendor.
- Performs E-Commerce Operations Supervisor duties when needed.
- Provides incidental job instruction to 15+ E-Commerce Production staff.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Some college or college degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of Managerial/Supervisory experience in an e-commerce fulfillment environment
- Non-Profit experience preferred
- Punctual and dependable attendance.
- Flexibility to work overtime, nights and weekends occasionally.
- Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
- Understands the basic philosophy of Goodwill and participates fully in carrying out its mission.
- Adheres to Goodwill’s values of Respect, Integrity, Service, & Excellence.
- Evening and weekend availability required.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Able to delegate, prioritize, solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and high standards.
- Display a professional and positive demeanor in all situations, demonstrating leadership and inspiring confidence in staff.
- Proficient in computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, and E-mail.
- Computer Skills: Order processing software, Spreadsheet software and Shipping and Receiving software
- Background, Drug Screen, Employment Verification and Integrity Test required.
