The impact you will have: We seek a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the Director of Fiscal Services role. This position requires a dedicated professional who will lead the team in the Department of Fiscal Services. You will collaborate with senior leadership, administrators, and staff to lead the organization in planning, organizing, and managing fiscal, accounting, and budgeting processes. You will play a vital part in supporting departments, schools, and staff in fiscal processes and procedures. The Director of Fiscal Services will supervise, review, and evaluate the performance of fiscal service administrators. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Chief Business Officer to develop and oversee the district's annual budget, ensuring alignment with educational priorities, revenue projections, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyses for the superintendent, school board, and other stakeholders, providing insights into the district's financial performance and trends.
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making and multiyear planning processes.
- Develop and recommend financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to the superintendent, school board, and district leadership, ensuring alignment with best practices, legal requirements, and industry standards.
