Job Abstract

The EAF Refractory Bricker will be responsible for safe and efficient performance at the bricking stand at all times.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Inspection, repair, or replacement of EAF refractories, reviewing and understanding of EAF bricking procedures, crane and mobile equipment operation to include remote overhead cranes, coordinating tasks with the cross-functional team; including but not limited to contractors, electricians, mechanics, and production teammates. Basic maintenance responsibilities of the refractory area.  This position will work Monday – Friday days, any overtime needed and assist and cover the Refractory Coordinator as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

3 years of refractory experience in a steel-making facility
