As a Quantum Measurement Engineer, you will own the measurement of qubit devices for testing critical hardware components, such as wiring and classical electronics. You will work with stakeholders to design tests against requirements, execute qubit measurements on both small and large quantum processors, and clearly communicate results to stakeholders. Additionally, you will improve our measurement and calibration infrastructure both by giving timely feedback to developers, and through the software contributions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Work with stakeholders to define qubit performance tests for various hardware components.
- Communicate test results to stakeholders and broader audiences.
- Contribute to calibration and measurement infrastructure improvements.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in using software in any language to interface with hardware and to analyze data.
- 2 years of experience in developing and executing hardware tests, and communicating results to other scientists and engineers.
2 years of experience in qubit calibration and characterization.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) components and electronics.
- Experience with noise and error characterization protocols, such as randomized benchmarking.
- Experience measuring superconducting qubits, especially to characterize other hardware.
- Experience working in a collaborative software environment (e.g., version control, code review, style guides), especially in Python.
