Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
- Presents financial information to management to assist in the business decision-making process.
- Compares financial results to planned or forecasted/budgeted results and recommend future actions.
- Leads weekly revenue pacing reviews with Sr. Leadership and proactively makes suggestions on projected results based on internal metrics and external factors.
- Acts as subject matter expert on organization’s P&L performance and applies financial and business knowledge to mitigate issues as well as identify when to escalate.
- Assists with special projects, which typically will include financial analysis, research of business issues, and financial modeling to provide management with financial data and business advice to support decision-making.
Financial Planning
- Manages consolidated monthly P&L forecast review and submission process.
- Leads the development and effective utilization of financial models/analysis and operational procedures to foster process improvements.
- Coordinates the development of Effectv Revenue and Expense reporting.
- Evaluates financial risks and opportunities by creating and reviewing operational and financial metrics.
- Exercises independent judgment on forecast submissions and variance explanations obtained from business partners.
- Assists in the deployment of Effectv’s Long-Range Planning and Budgeting cycle.
Other
- Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Works cross-functionally across all Comcast Advertising teams.
- Identifies required finance capabilities and skill gaps within the team.
- Seeks opportunities to acquire new financial knowledge and skills.
- Participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures as necessary.
