As the Digital Merchandiser, Ecommerce you will be responsible for creating and implementing the seasonal digital merchandise strategies for our North America Ecommerce channel. You will drive sales and execute the product line’s vision within our digital platforms. You will work closely with the ecommerce buyers and performance marketing team to align key investments with site and email strategies. You will create an exceptional customer shopping experience online and strive to do more with less. In doing so, you will further Patagonia’s mission of saving the home planet.
What you’ll Do:
- Develop a seasonal merchandise strategy for the website and emails based on financial investments and marketing stories.
- Lead optimal site taxonomy and appropriate refinements on product listing pages to drive high conversion.
- Partner with eCommerce Performance Marketing Team to identify and prioritize opportunities for test and learn strategies to provide a better customer experience online.
- Translate our marketing initiatives into compelling collections and sport and category pages that reflect the brand while creating an exceptional customer experience.
- Share sales and inventory updates weekly along with recommended actions to ensure financial KPIs are achieved.
- Provide direction to the broader ecommerce team for updates to the site within the scope of merchandising by keeping a pulse on best-in-class site experiences and learned customer behaviors.
- Manage the product photography pipeline, partnering with the photo studio, ecommerce teams and PLMs to produce best in class PDP imagery.
- Make in season updates to merchandising and email plans that reflect updated priorities and inventory positions.
- Assort products into the site taxonomy and assign refinement values for all new products on the website.
- Provide merchandise assortments, proposed landing pages and review inventory for marketing emails.
- Update feature colors on site to match available inventory and upcoming features in email.
- Provide ad hoc performance analysis in adobe Omniture.

Experience You Bring:
- Five years of experience in DTC ecommerce merchandising, buying, or related roles.
- BA or BS apparel merchandising (or equivalent additional experience) is preferred.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working collaboratively with digital analysts, merchandise planners, digital production and creative teams.
- Track record of impactful and creative thinking that demonstrates the ability to conceptualize and implement ideas that support brand initiatives and achieve sales goals.
- Flexibility and aptitude for learning quickly. Experience in an environment which required navigating and adapting to a constantly changing digital environment.
- Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills; intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience with digital merchandising platforms, specific experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud a plus.
Hiring Range: $90,000 to $100,000
Pay Range: $76,000 to $114,000
