WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Staff Accountant will support a variety of accounting functions and assist the finance team in the organization's accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining an organization’s accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
The successful candidate will be willing and able to:
Reconcile the General Ledger accounts and record adjusting entries on a monthly basis
Monitor and record grant expenditures to ensure compliance
Assist with monitoring fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Assist with lease accounting standards and reconciliation of lease schedules
Support Audit preparations, including but not limited to annual financial and 403 B audits
Review payroll and employee entries into Paylocity
Assist with Payroll and Timecard review
Help with monitoring inventory and making adjustment entries
Other related duties as assigned

Requirements
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Thesuccessful candidate has:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
2+ years of accounting experience with related duties
Experience in a non-profit/ Community Health Center preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, Multiview a plus
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to gather, organize, and perform financial analysis assignments with limited supervision
Ability to develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare accurate reports
Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and post records
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Additional Requirements
Must have a current and valid California driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.

The work environment is characteristic of normal office conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or lift. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
The employee may be required to run agency related errands and attend off-site meetings; the employee must be able to operate, maneuver and/or control a motor vehicle. In performing the driving responsibilities, the driver may sit for long periods. This requires intense concentration, particularly in poor driving conditions.
