Job Description
Provide consultation to autism support teachers in the School District of Philadelphia and their classroom staff on the use or evidence-based interventions to support the academic, behavioral, and social needs for K-5 students with autism. Complete needs assessments and classroom-level reports for assigned teachers to determine the efficacy of consultation and treatment. Attend a weekly team meeting.
The minimum of a Master's Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Qualified applicants must have knowledge of Autism and have experience working effectively in a school district or community mental health setting, implementing evidence-based practices. Specific experience with behavior analytic approaches, elementary school teaching, and/or teacher consultation are desired but not required. Candidates must have a valid driver s license and pass a PA Criminal Background Check, FBI Fingerprinting clearance, and Child Abuse Clearance.
