Responsibilities
As a Job Developer your responsibilities include:
Assist individuals with obtaining competitive employment that closely fits their vocational goal and abilities
Cultivate employment opportunities with employers in the community and maintains awareness of local job market, employers’ needs and expectations.
Proactively market job development programming and individuals to employers in the community.
Provide Job Seeking Skills Training to Individuals.
Maintain regular contact with employers to monitor individuals employment outcomes/satisfaction and retention.
Represent Active Day at trade shows, forums and other appropriate venues.
Qualifications
As a Job Developer your qualifications include:
High School degree or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation: You will be required to use your own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage.
Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP™) required.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a Developmental Disability agency and/or working with individuals with disabilities.
Prior Case Management experience strongly preferred
Strong ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
