InterContinental San Francisco - General Manager
We're in search of a Luxury General manager to manage the iconic InterContinental San Francisco. Located in the bustling SoMa district near Union Square, InterContinental San Francisco offers unparalleled access to San Francisco's renowned attractions, acclaimed restaurants, premier shopping, and convenient public transport. Our proximity to Moscone West Convention Center makes us an ideal choice for convention attendees. With 556 rooms, 4 dining options including a Club Lounge and Michelin-starred dining, and 46,495 square feet of flexible event space spanning 23 meeting rooms and two ballrooms, we provide unmatched onsite catering and event services.
We are looking for a Luxury leader with significant expertise working in luxury hotels within the US taking ownership of the day-to-day hotel direction, maximising financial returns, driving people development and empowering your team to create memorable guest experiences every step along the way.
Seeking an ideal candidate with extensive upper luxury hotel management experience, adept at delivering authentic luxury guest experiences and strategically positioning brands to drive commercial success. Must be a natural leader fostering innovation, maintaining strong commercial focus, and possessing excellent communication skills.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Leading the commercial and operational activities of the hotel properties.
- Lead and develop a business plan to drive owner returns.
- Recruiting, leading, managing and motivating a strong team, upskilling, recruiting, measuring and managing performance.
- Reviews and implements strategic initiatives to drive commercial performance across the Hotel and its facilities.
- Prioritises relationships with guests and external contacts such as current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers and local communities.
What we’d like from you:
- Prior upper luxury hotel general management experience, preferably both in US and international market.
- Strategically focused and proven success in driving commercial returns.
- Genuine team development, guest, and owner focus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on effective communication and relationship-building.
- Preferably experienced in union environments.
- Experience with the Californian market.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Already possess Right to work in the US.
