Job Abstract

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

• Prepare operatory for patient care
• Provide chairside assistance to Doctor including, monitor vital signs, educating patient on pre and post-surgical care, monitor patients post op
• Maintain and sterilize dental equipment
• Radiograph patients as needed
• Review patients’ health history and update changes after seating
• Perform four handed dentistry assisting
• Update treatment plan in electronic file following each visit

• 2+ years’ experience assisting in dental surgical procedures and treatment
• Oral Surgery, Endodontic, or Periodontal experience preferred
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills that contribute to the team spirit and put patients at ease
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in tight quarters with excellent manual dexterity working with precise instruments
• Listening skills to follow instruction accurately in treating patients
• Keep abreast of and follow OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control procedures
• Knowledgeable in Open Dental a plus
