Job Abstract

Skorpios Technologies, Inc., an innovator in heterogeneous integration of silicon photonic technology and semiconductor development, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting and finance team. The AP Specialist will assist with day-to-day tasks to include records maintenance, audit support, and AP/AR. The Company is currently ramping up operations from a recent relocation, which will allow the Company to grow, expand and have a successful future.

Responsibilities and duties:

· Ensures accurate and timely processing of AP, POs, employee expense reports, payroll accuracy, and total corporate payroll tax compliance Will assist with accounting tasks, such as general ledger entries, billing, and asset tracking.

· Discretion and confidentiality regarding protecting company financial information.

· May at times assist with special AP/AR tasks.

· Works closely with Finance and Accounting to ensure corporate compliance.

· Responds timely to requests from co-workers, or other vested parties.

· Proactively identifies issues and may recommend solutions.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

· 3-5 years of relevant AP experience

· Experience in a manufacturing, engineering environment is preferred.

· Software Proficiency - Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel or related software.

· Able to prioritize and perform varied accounting and record-keeping duties.

· Able to complete tasks with limited supervision.

· Previous experience in a start-up and/or small company is a plus.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift, push and/ or pull up to 10 pounds at times.

· This position requires you to be onsite daily.
