Position Summary: The Operations Manager Trainee role is a position designed to prepare you for a management career within Core-Mark’s organization. As a manager trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience leading personnel to include recruiting, safety and compliance, food safety measures, training, and other projects in a friendly and supportive learning environment. Our trainees assist operations management across Warehouse, Transportation, and Facilities. The Operations Manager Trainee will assist in managing to an established operations budget and plans for future growth and assisting in the implementation of changes as needed to accommodate business needs. Functions as a team member within the department and organization as required and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Salary Range 57,300- 81,000
Work Schedule Monday- Friday
Training will occur on both day and night shift
Responsible for learning OSHA safety programs and systems; operations business processes, systems & tools; and performance management.
Collaborates with all frontline managers to learn the day-to-day business operations (i.e. Warehouse Manager, Transportation Manager, Inventory Manager, District Sales Managers)
Works with safety to continue to create a safety conscious culture
Completes the assigned Perform curriculum and all other assigned trainings
Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Associates/2-Year Technical Degree or equivalent experience • 6+ months experience in a leadership role • Bachelor’s degree is Supply Chain, Business or related field is preferred. • 1-2 years of leadership experience in the warehouse, transportation, or distribution field is preferred. • Experience in foodservice, wholesale, retail or convenience is highly desired.
