Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking a Material Handling Operator I to joinour team in Washington, DC. Theindividual in the role will perform any assigned warehouse and office task asdetermined by daily requirements for the day-to-day material operation. We areseeking an organized individual with great attention to detail, and excellentcommunication and follow-up skills. You will ensure a safe working environmentfor self and others while on customer and Siemens properties. This is a 2nd shift position, 12pm– 8:30pm M-F.
What your day-to-day will look like:
• Perform Cycle counts using SAPand project specific inventory systems.
• Assist with materialidentification/ validation for planned and unscheduled maintenance activities.
• Create and process SAP Serviceorders.
• Pack, process, and shipmaterial using SAP and carrier specific web sites / requirements.
• Issue material to customerusing SAP and/ or Project specific inventory systems and instructions.
• Physically and virtuallyreceive, inspect, and stock inbound material.
• Receive and process routableparts (cores) returned by customer in accordance with Siemens and Customer requirements.
• Complete Siemens assigned, andcustomer required training.
• Understand and Initiate Out ofService (OOS) and emergency notifications when material is needed to supportcustomer needs.
• Perform investigations wheninventory inaccuracies are discovered.
• Write and publish End of Shift(EOS) reports.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- High SchoolDiploma or GED,
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (focusing onExcel),
- Excellently demonstrated verbal and writtencommunication skills in English,
- Excellently demonstrated customer serviceskills,
- The ability to work in a team-orientedenvironment while maintaining an individual workload,
- The ability to perform job duties with a senseof urgency and focused on safety.

The base salary range for this position in Washington, DC is $38,900 - $52,500. The actual salary/wage offered may be loweror higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, andqualifications.
