JOB SUMMARY
The full time Safety & Training Coordinator will promote safety and standard operating procedure compliance as well as administer and maintain records for all training within the facility. When the coordinator is not training or doing safety functions, they will be assisting the warehouse teams with other responsibilities including order picking or inbound/outbound work.
Administers teammate on-boarding orientation and training program
Conducts on-the-job training for new teammates and teammates in a new position covering specified areas such as procedures and operation of equipment
Coaches for correction as requested by a supervisor or manager
Provides position-based safety training
Conducts Material Handling Equipment training & certification
Responsible for function specific training with CSW
Responsible for ensuring teammates are trained on using OMU
Maintains record of all trainings
Provides focused safety training for teammates with 2 or more accidents
Conducts DC safety inspections
Assists DC management in initial investigation of incidents
Must have open availability to work 1st and 2nd shift
*This position is primarily warehouse work with no more than 25% administrative duties
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS AND WORK AIDS
RF scanner, voice pick equipment, material handling equipment (to include items such as: hand truck, forklift/reach trucks, cherry pickers), stretch wrap machines, safety knives, safety harnesses, printers, computers and tablets
EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE
General knowledge of a variety of basic topics, such as math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc. equal to a high school diploma
