Ecolab is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer is to monitor production processes,
technical problem solving, root cause analysis and oversee new product introduction. Provides technical expertise to support manufacturing operations and makes recommendations to plant, marketing, and research to assure quality of all finished materials.
What will you do:
Manages changes to the above processes and products in a manner that ensures Safety and minimal risk to process efficiency and product quality. This includes, but is not limited to (MOC's, HAZOP's, PHA's, PSSR's, etc.) as well as elements of ISO and RC14001.
Manages the introduction of new products and processes in a manner that ensures Safety, product Quality, and process efficiency. Completes all required eSPRINT steps and SAP set-ups in a timely fashion and, in conjunction with the Production Engineering staff, ensures all appropriate PSM activities are addressed as well as ISO and RC14001 elements and manufacturing procedures are in place and are accurate.
Directs the efforts of Production and QA personnel in addressing in-process problems and develops and directs the appropriate remedial actions necessary to successfully resolve these problems.
Carefully evaluates all off-spec materials and assesses the rework potential for them. Develops and documents rework plans for qualifying off-spec materials. Monitors the success of these rework plans and adjusts, as necessary.
Monitors and analyzes all in-process and final batch data and adjusts the process including in-process specifications accordingly to keep the process within specification.
When appropriate trains or assists the process engineer in training production personnel on new processes and procedural changes.
Leads incident investigations where appropriate.
Identifies responsible root causes. Develops, and where appropriate, implements corrective actions that effectively prevent re-occurrence of failures in the following areas:
First Pass Failures
Off-Spec Batches
Customer Complaints
Serves as primary writer, reviewer, and updater of all manufacturing procedures in area of responsibility. Consults with Process Engineering as needed.
Individually and/or in conjunction with R&D and Production/Process Engineering, identifies and implements process improvements, which results in saving of time, money, and/or makes the process more robust.
Assists the QA Lab Supervisor in setting up new analytical test methods and resolves problems with existing test methods. Also, assists with the training of lab analysts on new test methods.
Actively supports and participates in the plant's Safety programs and processes.
Actively supports all the plant's external certification efforts (ISO, NSF, Kosher, RC14001, Halal etc.).
Actively participates and when necessary, leads teams to support plant efficiency, improvement, TPM and Sustainability efforts.
Work with engineering, quality, and production, to achieve statistical process control and capability.
?Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry,
3 years'experience in chemical processing, manufacturing experience required
