We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and joyful Music Teacher for TK – 8th grade students. Responsibilities include curriculum development, music instruction, organize special events such as the Christmas and Spring concerts, cantor at liturgical celebrations and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel loved and respected.
This is a part-time job. Weekly teaching and prep hours are approximately 20 over the course of 2 to 3 days. During the months of preparation for concerts and other non-curricular activities the hours will increased slightly.
Requirements
? Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field ? Valid teaching certification/license preferred ? Previous experience teaching music to elementary/junior high students. ? Strong musical proficiency and knowledge of music theory, vocal techniques, and various musical instruments ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ? Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential in music ? Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students ? Experience leading and planning liturgical music for Catholic masses, preferred
Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
