As a release manager, you can work with development and operations teams from the start of the process to the end and be able to plan the shorter feedback and schedule fast releases following?agile methodologies. We are looking for a release manager with skills needed?to manage software releases for a cloud-scale, cross domain security platform that provides essential security inspections and data sanitization functions to support a broad set of DoD and IC missions, from?vision to production-ready system.?
As a Software Release Manager, you will work closely with the team and lead scheduling, planning, monitoring, and controlling the software's development, delivery, and release process. You'll lead and coordinate the Release Management lifecycle to include scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and deployment of release to meet schedule and budget requirements. You'll release the software after completing the testing stage and deployment stage, and work closely with the application development team, testing team, and production team. You'll maintain proper coordination between these teams to update the project related information. You'll oversee and coordinate the planning, testing, tracking, deployment, communication, and risk management associated with all software releases.?
You will support specific activities such as resolve version control management issues. You'll conduct development and testing, and able to resolve issues by analyzing the test-environment, configuration parameters, and code. You'll manage all in-flight releases. You'll generate release artifacts leveraging existing scripts or automation such as generate ISOs. You'll monitor team progress and velocity working with Feature Leads to ensure on-time delivery. You'll also update Jira Roadmap, run Jira AutoScheduler to support schedule development and tracking. Manage Jira Administration tasks.

You Have:?
5+ years of experience with software design and development, including programming
3+ years of experience with software release management for a complex cloud-scale software service
3+ years of experience with story and bug tracking system, code management system, and Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline tools like Jira, Bitbucket, and Bamboo or Jenkins
Knowledge of DevOps and tools such as Saltstack, Vagrant, Git, Maven, Splunk, and ELK Stack
Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle using traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban
Knowledge of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systems
Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams, and multi-task on multiple products and projects
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

Experience with Application Release Automation tools such as ElectricFlow, Puppet Enterprise, Buildmaster, and Visual Studio Release Management
Experience with Python, Java, or Spring framework
Experience with configuration management software such as Saltstack or Chef
Experience with web-server technologies such as JBoss or SpringBoot
Experience with stream technologies such as Storm or Spark
Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker based?containers?and their use to develop and deploy microservices
Possession of excellent oral and written communication to communicate cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
Possession of excellent analytical, trouble shooting, and problem-solving skills
Possession of excellent organizational skills, including tracking multiple releases simultaneously
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
