Noblis is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team in Reston, VA. The accountant will collaborate and support various functions of the Finance department and other areas of the company.

As a member of the Financial Reporting and Tax department team, the candidate will be responsible for:

• Supporting the monthly and year-end financial closing process and associated management reporting.
• Preparing and entering journal entries.
• Analyzing account and financial data.
• Preparing general ledger account reconciliations.
• Supporting audit requirements.
• Assisting with Federal, State, and Local tax filing and requirements.
• Providing ad hoc services to multiple Finance department teams (Accounts Payable, Project Accounting, Budgets, Payroll) as necessary.
• Gaining knowledge of department policies and procedures in order to create efficiencies as well as accurate and timely results.
• Collaborating cross-functionally within the company to promote information sharing and analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 0 years of experience; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance with 3 years of related experience; High School/GED with 6 years of relevant experience.
• A sound knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and other Business Intelligence & Analytic tools.
• Familiarity with audit procedures and terminology.

• Well organized, strong team player with good communication and analytical skills.
• Flexible, highly motivated with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
