Job Summary
PIANO ACCOMPANIST
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Visual and Performing Arts and in cooperation with the choral music teacher, the piano accompanist will serve as accompanist for choir rehearsals, performances, and special events as specified by the choir director and Coordinator of Visual and Performing Arts. Piano accompanists are assigned and reassigned to various sites as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications
Attach Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with emphasis on piano performance or accompanying.
Successful experience serving as a choral music piano accompanist.
The ability to sight-read moderately difficult piano accompaniments, improvise, and make simple transpositions is regarded as highly desirable.
Bachelor's Degree
This position requires a valid Degree or valid equivalency established by an accredited institution/agency within the United States.
