The Role:
The Indirect Material Planner/Controller and Group Leader performs a variety of functions to support plant operations. Managing a team of employees per contract and GMS requirements while successfully partnering with key stakeholders to support uninterrupted production, including implementing and controlling Indirect Material per planning requirements. Working as part of a small cross-functional team that delivers material requirements, cost savings initiatives and continuous improvement of established processes.
What You’ll Do
Create and Approve purchase requisitions per planning requirements
Deliver cost savings initiatives through analysis of stocking requirements
Develop and maintain point-of-use areas
Manage UAW employees on all 3 shifts per requirements of contract and GMS responsibilities
Partner with plant stakeholders to successfully plan materials and support uninterrupted operations
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments per site requirements
Investigate, support, and submit CSA audits per schedule
Provide emergency support for site, including plant-to-plant sharing, including off-shifts and weekends, as required
Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)??
Proficient in mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Skilled in calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, and capable of creating and interpreting bar graphs.
Adept at performing basic tasks in all Microsoft products, with advanced skills in Excel.
Capable of working effectively in both team settings and autonomously.
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
