Position Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with our client located in Sunnyvale, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
• Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures • Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplift • Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives • A proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline • 3+ years of Experience Installing and managing below • Linux systems administration with a focus on Ubuntu and RHEL • Experience managing unstructured storage like NetApp, Isilon. • Experience with Ansible automation • Experience with Jenkins, Git, and Terraform • Able to navigate through diverse cloud platforms • Managing HCI and virtual platforms like Nutanix and VMware vSphere.
Nice To Have:
• Experience with Kubernetes is nice to have. • Coding experience beyond simple scripts.
