Job Abstract

San Diego Mission Bay Resort is a sprawling 357-room resort, boasting multiple dining options, a beautiful renovated pool, a kids pool, astonishing Bay views, fire pits and so much more. We are excited to welcome a new Catering Services Manager to our Mission Bay Family. Our resort has over 45,000 square feet of newly renovated, flexible meeting space, with a superb bay-front location for our catering business.

The Catering Services Manager must be a highly motivated individual who is eager and ready to showcase our unique property to clients and to look for potential clients who are searching for exceptional meeting spaces to host their conference, business, or other events. The Catering Services Manager works with social and corporate catering clients to detail client expectations for their event while carrying out contractual details. This position works closely with all departments of the resort to ensure a memorable experience for our guests.

For the Catering Services Manager role, we are seeking the following requirements:

• One to three years of Catering/Event Sales experience in Hospitality preferred
• Organizational skills, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize effectively
• Customer Service Orientated focus on providing exceptional customer service, anticipating client needs, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Menu Planning and Food Knowledge, ability to plan menus, and ensure quality and presentation standards are met.
• Problem-Solving Skills
• Flexibility and Adaptability
• Vendor Management
• Proficient knowledge of computer applications, Delphi preferred
• Communication skills interacting with clients, staff, and suppliers effectively
• Ability to innovate and offer unique catering solutions that meet the specific needs and preferences of clients
• Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance or a relevant field of work preferred
