Job Abstract

High School Diploma or equivalent AND: * OPTION ONE: One year of experience working with children in a structured environment; and a minimum of six college units in such areas as the handicapped in school and community, child behavior, child growth and development, nutrition, learning disabilities, early childhood education or child psychology. * OPTION TWO: Two years of experience in a Special Education classroom with condition that six college units in above areas be taken within first year of employment. * Two (2) recent letters of reference * To be considered all requirements must be attached when submitting the application. Required specialized training (such as Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, CPR/First aid) will be provided and/or verified by the Lancaster School District at no cost to the applicant. Applicants must successfully complete each part of the examination process in order to be considered further. WRITTEN EXAMINATION: TBD – TIME & DATE MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. An eligibility list will be in effect for 6 months or until less than 3 applicants remain on the list.
