Job Abstract

The mission of California Lutheran University is to educate leaders for a global society who are strong in character and judgment, confident in their identity and vocation, and committed to service and justice. Assist with the daily operation of volleyball camps and events. Could include, but not limited to, registration, check-in, coaching campers, as well as preparing and/or cleaning the facilities.

Must have a basic knowledge of the fundamentals of volleyball.

Must have the ability to work with kids from ages 5-18 as well as the parents. Must have the ability to make decisions on the fly.

Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) and hear to exchange information; ability to walk, run, jump, stretch, stand, sit, bend, twist, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; climb stairs, ropes or ladders; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision; ability to demonstrate proper techniques and skills needed for athletic participation; ability to operate a vehicle to travel to various sites to conduct work; ability to maintain level of physical fitness to meet departmental standards.

Fast paced working environment. Will be on feet most of the time.
