Departmental Overview Compensation / Benefits $18.08-$29.53/hr based on previous work experience. Evening differential $2.00/hr. Night differential $2.50/hr. Weekend differential $2.50/hr. Our Med/Surg Observation Unit is a fast paced 16 bed telemetry/medical-surgical unit. Common problems seen in our unit include chest pain, syncope, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and diabetes. Our nurse patient ratio ranges from 4-6 patients depending on acuity. Our care team includes a charge nurse and unit assistants with support from respiratory, lab, and case management departments. We orient new nurses to our unit by providing a 6-8 week orientation program with a dedicated preceptor team, complemented by classroom courses, and a nurse residency program for new graduates. Qualifications Education Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience Prefer previous hospital experience. Previous work history reflecting stable employment is necessary. If no work experience, will consider school attendance record and performance. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure/Certification Current Oklahoma State LPN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Schedule Varies Work Shift Night Position Type Regular Full Time
