Leads mechanical engineering team in Magnetic Resonance (MR) Coils organization as they develop platformed and innovative solutions that meet customer requirements for product quality, performance, cost, and speed to market.

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the mechanical engineering team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Support NPI/IB/ATD programs/ projects, with the appropriate resources, skill sets, and assistance in problem solving.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, system/ hardware/ software teams, supply chain, and manufacturing, to ensure optimal product performance and seamless integration.
Develop and implement best practices and processes to enhance team productivity, and efficiency.
Recruit talents, mentor and develop the electrical engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.
Support technical reviews, design evaluations, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in the development of product roadmaps, identifying opportunities for innovation and driving the adoption of emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience) in mechanical engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience, familiar with different materials, design requirements, and manufacturing processes.
Minimum of 5 years of medical device product development experience
Minimum of 3 years of project leadership experience
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., IEC, FDA, ISO)
Proven leadership experience in leading and mentoring technical teams?
Demonstrated people management skills ?

PhD in Mechanical Engineering
7 years relevant RF Coils experience
Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering
Proven ability to work cross-functionally
Demonstrated supplier and manufacturing interface skills
Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others
Excellent communication, influencing skills, and ability to gain buy-in
Proven LEAN skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver results while supporting multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes
