As a Lean/Industrial Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Supply Chain group, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities
Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on Lean Manufacturing or Supply Chain concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
Strong understanding of Lean methodologies
Experience with root cause analysis/issue resolution in order to develop action plans and manage project improvements with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneous
Ability to identify improvement areas and support conversation with recommendations to drive improvement
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver executive level summaries
Ability to establish and build strong relationships and solve difficult and complex issues across cross-functional teams
A true team player with a “no job too small” attitude while at the same time being able to think strategically
Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product
