Job Abstract

The Unique Assets Administrator will support the Unique Assets Team to ensure compliance with proper administration of unique asset properties.  In doing so, the Unique Assets Administrator will ensure compliance with the policies, procedures, and requirements of unique asset administration.  Will participate in corporate projects as needed.

• Assist in the oversight of closely held business assets as well as other unique assets.

• Support the Unique Assets Officer in the administrative duties for closely held business assets including but not limited to monitoring of receipts made by the LLC or LP.

• Support the administration and oversight or other unique assets as needed, including but not limited to notes, loans and liabilities.

• Cultivate relationships with Fiduciary Advisors, other internal partners and clients.

• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years’ bank or financial services experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ bank or financial services experience

Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience learning new software applications rapidly

Must be well organized and be able to work in a fast past environment

Advanced degree

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in team environment

Trust, Audit or Compliance experience

Basic investment knowledge
