Frito-Lay Receiving Technicians can expect to complete a variety of duties typically found in a traditional plant setting. We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule. It's a physical job! If you have never worked in a plant environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for the entirety of your shift. Here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform during the workday:
- Track and manage potato delivery appointments.
- Receive all seasoning, roll stock deliveries, and make sure the delivery is accurate and escalate when the numbers don’t match. In addition, conduct daily and weekly physical inventories of all commodities in silos and railcars.
- Make sure the inventory checks are done throughout the shift for expired products and escalate the findings to the leads and making sure all the products in the aisles are scanned into the right location.
- Work with processing operators to appropriately maintain potato bin levels and unload commodities from railcars and trucks into appropriate silos.
- Climb and maintain appropriate levels in oil, corn, and cornmeal silos (with appropriate training and certification) and move and position railcars (with appropriate training and certification)
- Conduct sampling of railcar commodities and work with Quality Analysis team to ensure product quality prior to unloading.
- Clean, inspect and maintain all equipment and areas related to the handling of raw materials, including but not limited to seasoning rooms, carton storage area, film storage areas, silo areas, rail car areas, hoses, weigh scale, potato bin room and receiving offices.
- Appropriately fill out and maintain all required paperwork for receiving raw materials (including but not limited to potatoes, corn, cornmeal, oil, seasoning, film, cartons, salt, defoamer, and other materials)
- Participate in team meetings and training.
- General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g., you may be asked to sweep the floor, help clean a trailer, take out the trash, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.

- You can lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

- You are willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces
