Responsibilities:
- Make markets and provide liquidity to MUFG’s institutional clients in Investment Grade Credit.
- Manage risk across a portfolio of IG securities including hedging on both an individual security level as well as on a portfolio level. Trader is expected to work closely with research to assess the credit quality and specific credit risk in the desk’s positions.
- Pitch trade ideas to clients and provide relevant analysis and trading color to support recommendations.
- Work closely with sales to understand the objectives of their clients and how MUFG can assist in attaining those objectives.
- Work closely with sales and capital markets to help build and expand the firm’s leveraged finance franchise including participating in daily market commentary calls as well as participating in client entertainment.
- Leverage MUFG ‘s global franchise
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, MBA and/or CFA a plus
- A minimum of 5 years of related Credit Trading work experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability
- Strong decision-making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgment
- A pro-active, motivated approach
- The ability to operate with urgency, prioritize work accordingly and multi-task
- A creative and innovative approach to work
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
The typical base pay range for this role is between $225K - $275K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
