Bilingual ORR Program Trainer Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Training and Development, Organizational Development, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field
- 6 months relevant training experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (based on service population and service area)
- Current CPR/First Aide and Emergency Behavioral Intervention technique certification/credentials as a Program Trainer, or ability to obtain within 90-days of employment
- Ability to motivate learners to take an active role in their learning
- Ability to use sound judgement and always maintain confidentially
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to positively convey information
- Ability to adapt training techniques and adult learning theory to various groups (different learning styles)
- Demonstrate ability to evaluate training effectiveness
- Demonstrate ability to gather and analyze information and translate into empirical data (metrics, structured reporting, data driven analysis); ability to create scorecard and dashboards with relevant information to influence strategic planning, decision making, and meet department and Agency goals and objectives
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and people skills with the ability to work independently, within a team environment and with a diverse group of people
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
Bilingual ORR Program Trainer Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Organizational Development or Social Work, or closely related field
- 1 year training experience
- Previous ORR Shelter Experience Highly Preferred
Career Progression
- This position is eligible for promotion/transfer. If an appropriate position is available, the employee must meet minimum qualifications, including the promotion/transfer eligibility guidelines.
Physical Demands & Work Conditions
- This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time as well as standing and speaking to groups for long periods
- Position may work in a child facility and have exposure to children
- Lift, push, pull, move up to 50 lbs.
