PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:
Auditing project specific compliance with company MWDBE Policy and Procedure Manual in accordance with internal control audit checklists
Coordinating with Purchasing personnel to identify available M/W/DBEs for each project that requires MBE / WBE / DBE participation and to determine the appropriate unified directory of certified firms maintained by the State and Federal governments to use as the primary source to solicit certified capable firms.
Meeting with project field personnel on a regular basis to discuss the M/W/DBE utilization plan and the applicable rules and regulations related to M/W/DBE participation at the Project.
Monitoring M/W/DBE goals established by each contract for the entire life of the project, including meeting with the project field personnel to review the M/W/DBE Participation Plan, the participation and the progress of the participating firms and to monitor the M/W/DBEs performance at the project either by personal observation or by review of project documentation.
Keeping current with MBE / WBE / DBE minority business best practices and representing the company in commercial networking events and forums in an effort to increase minority business participation.
Reviewing the implementation of the vetting of subcontractors and vendors
Reviewing the project specific repository for the MBE / WBE / DBE Program documents, and records relating to the MBE / WBE / DBE participation for the project.
Developing, coordinating, and conducting, as appropriate, company-wide or project-specific training regarding the MBE / WBE / DBE program
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree is preferred, Law degree is a plus
Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory compliance and/or related field
EEO or Affirmative Action experience a plus
General knowledge of construction industry.
General knowledge of federal and state regulatory practices.
General knowledge of minority business rules, regulations and practices.
Excellent research and investigative skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to be flexible and change directions to meet Company needs.
General knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft Office Suite, other.
Ability for travel of approximately 50% to Company’s project sites and local networking/outreach events.
