3 East is a 25-bed Acute Care General Medicine unit that provides compassionate and relationship-based patient care. The multidisciplinary team on this unit combines their clinical expertise to diagnose and treat various diseases affecting adults, including but not limited to respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, chronic regional pain syndrome, immune/infectious, and renal diseases. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio on this unit is 1:4. Newly hired nurses undergo a 1-week onboarding and 12-week orientation program, while experienced nurses go through a 1-week onboarding and 6-week orientation program.

Position Compensation Range: $39.90 - $53.00 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
